Soft tailor’s dress form Betty, Basic set
Half scale dress form is perfect for learning and draping. Reduced 2 times copy of the mannequin, close in parameters to Monica in XS size.
Betty is intended for teaching beginner designers to sew skills and design complex patterns using the draping method. It allows getting the maximum amount of knowledge, skills and abilities while using less fabric and saving time.
What's in the set?
- Betty dress form torso;
- Sturdy metal stand with adjustable height.
Foam torso:
- Made of elastic polymer material. You can easily pierce it with full length pins. Ideal for drapery: mannequin holds pins firmly;
- Resistant to iron and garment steamer. You can iron and steam your clothes directly on the dress form, which is not possible with traditional plastic dress forms or papier-mâché;
- Compressibility. The torso base is made from a material that is used in car seats. Therefore, the dress form is capable of compressing for comfortable handling of stretchable fabrics.
Cover:
- Dense jersey cover;
- Easy to put on and take off for washing;
- Incredible tactile sensations.

recommend checking the back waist length, as it can affect the overall fit and
balance of the garment during construction.

What is the difference between Monica and Penelope dress forms?
Monica is a versatile soft tailor’s dress form
designed for everyday sewing, draping, and pattern development. Penelope is
specially designed for corsetry, lingerie, and garments that require a more
defined feminine shape. If you work with underwear, corsets, or close-fitting
silhouettes, Penelope is often the better choice.

Can I pin and steam directly on the dress form?
Yes. Our soft dress forms are designed for
professional sewing work, allowing you to pin directly into the surface and use
steam during fitting and shaping. This makes the form especially convenient for
draping, construction, and detailed garment work.
