The leg has made trouser fittings much more reliable because the fabric no longer hangs flat from the hip. It attaches securely with pins, supports the knee area and makes the grain, inseam and side seam easy to assess. When the trouser work is finished, it removes quickly and the torso is compact again

My fittings are more consistent because I no longer judge the trouser fall from a flat hanging garment
